Helena Chi Alpha CMIT Program

The Campus Missionary-in-Training (CMIT) internship program primarily exists to develop and send college graduates as vocational missionaries nationally or internationally and, secondarily, to assist others to find their vocational calling. The CMIT program is a bridge between a college education, a career, or vocational ministry, and university ministry on a private Catholic campus. During this time, a person can test his or her calling into full-time university ministry.
The CMIT internship program is a ten-month nationally standardized training experience corresponding to an academic year. This provides an intern the conventional rhythm of a calendar year in a local Chi Alpha group. The training may be extended if deemed beneficial by the local CMIT Director and intern. The program is designed to train individuals in many aspects of vocational, full-time campus ministry leadership. This training takes place under the guidance of experienced campus missionaries that are nationally approved to offer a CMIT program in their chartered Chi Alpha group. The CMIT participates fully in supervised ministry to a campus community while learning how to implement the Chi Alpha mission:
Our mission is to reconcile students to Christ, equipping them through Spirit-filled communities of prayer, worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission to transform the university, the marketplace, and the world.

Meet Our Class of 2022-2023

Allison Mifflin

Allison graduated Carroll College in 2018 and served the following year as a give-a-year with Helena XA. She participated in a discipleship training school with YWAM in 2019 where she spent 2 months in Nepal pouring into local churches and making Jesus known. Since then the lord has led Allison back to Helena XA where she will be serving as an intern. Allison’s calling is to steward the lives of college students back to Christ. Her call to stewardship of souls stems from her love for creation and wanting others to connect to the Father through the Outdoors. Allison loves all things coffee, adventuring in the outdoors, being artsy with pals, and cooking with her husband Connor.

Mackenzie Jahn

Mackenzie graduated from Carroll College in 2021 with a biology degree and math minor. After graduating, Mackenzie served with Helena XA as a volunteer staff member while working at a job in town and applying to grad school. During that time the Lord called her to stop pursuing grad school and pursue full time missions instead, leading her to do the CMIT program here at Helena XA. Mackenzie is passionate about seeing students that don’t know Jesus come into real relationship with Him and grow to become leaders for the kingdom. In her free time, Mackenzie loves rock climbing, skiing, climbing mountains, and hanging out with the XAE horses.
